Many people are afraid of making mistakes when learning Indonesian. If you really want to learn to speak Indonesian, then you have to accept the fact that making mistakes is part of the learning process. The more mistakes you make, the more quickly you will learn to speak Indonesian. It is absolutely normal to make mistakes since you will learn a lot from the mistakes you make during the learning process and therefore it will increase your overall Indonesian communicating skills. Some people will try to learn to speak Indonesian online by ONLY listening. Their reasoning is that once they learn enough Indonesian that is when they will begin trying to speak Indonesian online. You must practice your own Indonesian in order to learn Indonesian.

"Focus on how to speak Indonesian" rather than "why Indonesian is spoken the way it is." Trying to do so will only hinder your learning and make it difficult to learn Indonesian.

Many people spend their time learning a bunch of Indonesian vocabulary that they could go a life time and never use. If you want to learn Indonesian without wasting any of your precious time, I would advise you to master the fundamentals first. I know adults that have studied Indonesian for a few years and they know thousands of words in Indonesian. If you really want to learn to speak Indonesian make it a priority to master the fundamentals.

My response is that you can make excuses or you can learn to speak Indonesian online if you really have limited time yourself. Try your very best to find a little time within a week to learn the language regularly if you are really serious in mastering the language. Learning a new language is not a one night process, but rather it is an ongoing process which requires your consistency.
